KF-16 (NW16) is the go-to flange for small vacuum connections. It's compact and seals with a simple clamp and centering ring, so it's common wherever lines are changed often: gauge and sensor ports, test stands, lab manifolds, and pump lines on smaller systems. KF fittings are also called QC (quick connect) or QF (quick flange) fittings.
Which KF-16 part do I need?
- Connect two KF-16 parts: Connecting two KF-16 flanges requires one KF-16 clamp and centering ring set.
- Connect to a threaded port: Use a KF-16 to NPT adapter, available in male or female threads from 1/8" to 3/4".
- Connect to hose: Use a KF-16 hose barb adapter (1/4" to 3/4") or a PVC smooth hose adapter (1/2" and 3/4"). Our silicone vacuum tubing fits our hose barbs.
- Add flexibility or absorb vibration: Use a KF-16 stainless bellows, available from 100 mm to 2500 mm.
- Change direction or split a line: Use a KF-16 elbow, tee or cross.
- Change to a larger flange size: Use a straight reducer or reduced tee to KF-25 or KF-40.
- Close off a port: Use a KF-16 end blank.
Frequently asked questions
What are LoCo's KF-16 fittings made of?
All LoCo Science fittings come standard in heavy-duty 304 stainless steel. Our vacuum clamps are offered in both stainless and aluminum to fit your application.
Are LoCo's KF-16 fittings welded or milled?
Our NPT adapters, hose adapters, and flange reducers are turned from solid 304 stainless steel bar, without welds. Our elbows, tees, and crosses are welded parts.
Does a KF-16 clamp fit KF-10 flanges?
Yes. KF-10 and KF-16 clamps are identical in size. Use a KF-10 centering ring on KF-10 flanges. We sell KF-10 and KF-16 clamps separately, each engraved with its size.
Can I connect KF-16 to a larger flange size?
Yes. We stock KF-25 to KF-16 and KF-40 to KF-16 straight reducers, and reduced tees from KF-16 to KF-25 and KF-40.
